This was supposed to be a weekly series over a year ago but let’s see if I can keep this consistent this time. Not all of the dates are accurate of course, because I’m so behind on my blog feed out of sheer laziness that I need an entire weekend to go through everything. Never going to happen.

This week: a little bit of wanderlust, a little bit of inspiration, and a little bid of homesickness.

Finds: Daniel James Diggle

I was talking with a painter friend just this morning, explaining how I’m obsessed with drawing feathers, hair, and fur by drawing layers and layers for hours, I feel like this type of work is almost therapeutic. Shortly after I get an e-mail from a friend who sent me the work of Daniel James Diggle, a designer and illustrator based in London. A friend of mine told me that his work reminded him of a drawing series I’ve been working on for the past year.

I instantly fell in love with his portfolio. His type explorations are psychedelic. I especially like the shots of his sketches in progress. Look at that detail!
